A Survey of African Poetry in the London Times, Sunday Times, Financial Times, the Times Literary Supplement 1865-1985

Lesego Rampolokeng was born in 1965 in Orlando West, Soweto, Johannesburg. A poet, novelist, playwright, and filmmaker, he is the author of collections of poetry including Talking Rain (1993), The Bavino Sermons (1999), Head on Fire (2012) and A Half Century Thing (2015). He also authored three novels, two plays, screenplays and has collaborated in performances and recording with several musicians. He studied law at the University of the North in South Africa.
