Barolong Seboni was born in 1957 in Kanye, Botswana. He earned a bachelor of arts from the University of Botswana and a master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He became a senior lecturer and director of the writers' workshop at the University of Botswana. He cofounded the Writers' Association of Botswana and wrote a column in the Botswana Guardian. He authored several books of poetry.
