Joao Pedro

Biography

Joao Pedro was born in Namibia in 1948. He lived in Luanda, the capital of Angola, for several years and worked in the Ministry of Development. He authored Ponto de Situação, a book of poems in Portuguese informed by his experience with the Angolan Liberation War. A selection of his poems appears in The New African Poetry: An Anthology, edited by Tanure Ojaide.
