Dannabang Kuwabong was born in 1955 in Nanville, the Upper West Region of Ghana. He has written several books of poetry, including Visions of Venom, Echoes from Dusty Rivers, and Voices from Kibuli Country. He went to the University of Ghana to complete his undergraduate degree in English. He also received a Magisteriate in Environmental Studies at York University in Canada, a master’s degree in modern poetry from Stirling University in the UK, and a PhD in English from McMaster University in Canada. He went on to become a professor at Rivers State College of Education, University of Port-Harcourt, University of Ghana, and McMaster University, Canada. He teaches Caribbean literature at the University of Puerto Rico, San Juan.
