Mohamed Boudouik was born in 1953 in Jrada, Morocco. He is most well known for his collection The Delmon Wounds in which he drew heavily from his Arab heritage in ways similar to the early pioneers of Moroccan poetry, opting for modernism without compromising the millenary nature of the Arabic language. He studied Arabic Literature and English at Université Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah. He continued on to teach Arabic in a high school for several years and also worked as a columnist at the newspaper The Socialist Union. He lives in Fez, Morocco.
