Ishmael Fiifi Annobil was born in Accra, Ghana in 1958. A musician, journalist, filmmaker, poet, and critic, he is the author of Seven Horn Elegy (Totem, 1998) and Ethiop (Totem); his work has been anthologized in Another English: Anglophone Poems from Around the World. He is also the founder of the Welsh poetry festival Iolo’s Children, and the founding editor of the literary magazine Chiaroscuro. Currently, Annobil lives in London.
