Benjamin Moloise, born in 1955, was a South African poet and political activist who was hanged by the South African apartheid government in 1985. He had been accused of murdering a police officer in 1982. He was a supporter of the then-forbidden African National Congress, which claimed Moloise had had nothing to do with the murder.
